Job description
Our client, a well-established independent veterinary practice in East Sussex, is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative practice that prioritises patient care, client relationships and staff wellbeing. The role is primarily based at a welcoming branch practice, with occasional work across nearby sites, offering a varied caseload and access to modern equipment. The successful candidate will join an experienced team and have the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive environment where clinical autonomy and professional growth are genuinely encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Nurse consultations
- Theatre and consultation support
- Inpatient care
- Patient admissions and discharges
- Running in-house laboratory samples
- Maintaining clinical workspaces
- Supporting work experience students
- Clinical coaching of Student Veterinary Nurses as the practice continues to develop its training programme
- The full-time position consists of 37 hours per week, typically worked over four days, although alternative working patterns can be considered. The role also includes one in three Saturday mornings.
Requirements
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
- Previous nursing experience is desirable, although newly qualified RVNs are encouraged to apply
- Confident supporting medical and surgical nursing
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Well organised with the ability to manage your own workload
- A positive team player with a commitment to delivering high standards of patient care

- Salary of £30,000–£33,000 per annum, depending on experience
